The new development on the matter is 4 gigabit 20 nanometer low power DDR2 memory. To make it simpler the Samsung is all set to release 2GB RAM chip for the mobile phones. This means the gadgets will have more speed, compact size and less power.
At present most of the high end phones are equipped with 1 GB of RAM as found in Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X. While the popular handsets like Apple iPhone 4S and Nokia Lumia 900 are sporting only 512 MB.
