Nokia has produced some truly fabulous budget phones as well as middle range smartphone handsets that are slider phone devices. The Nokia Slide 2220 is one of the more prominent in this wonder series of smartphone handsets from the Finnish mobile phone veteran.

Coming back to the Nokia 2220 Slide, well it is a smartphone device that comes with a nice, compact and attractive design and form factor. The device is available in six different and equally irresistible colour options.  These include – graphite, hot pink, warm silver, purple, turquoise and dark blue.

The display is a fine 1.8 inches wide TFT (thin film transistor) screen that enhances all the visual images, etc you throw on it to the resolution of 128 x 160 pixels.  There is the support of 65,000 colours as well.

The BL-4C 860 mAh Li-Ion battery is capable of extending 318 minutes of talk time under GSM network conditions and 496 minutes of stand by time again under GSM network environment. 

The Nokia 2220 Slide runs on the proprietary S40 SPR7.2 operating platform.

What is more, there is GPRS and 2G level basic internet as well. You can do E-mailing through its easy to use E-mail client. You also have the support of HTML, XHTML MP, WML, CSS for net connectivity.

The camera is a VGA basic snapper that does its job of clicking still images.
